Bullet Athletes Ferdinand Habsburg and Rui Andrade team up for Rolex 24h at Daytona assault sharing the #8 Tower Motorsport LMP2 car at the 60th running of the iconic race.

Bullet Sports Management finished the 2021 season on a high and what better way to kick off 2022 than pairing up LMP2 World Champion and Le Mans winner Ferdinand Habsburg with ELMS Pro-Am champion Rui Andrade to compete in one of the coolest races on the motorsport calendar.

The Bullet duo will share the #8 Tower Motorsport car with LMP2 European Champion Louis Déletraz (CH) and 2021 Petit Le Mans winner and LMP3 European Champion John Farano (CA). Tower Motorsport is a highly successful team based in Florida with a long history at the Rolex 24H at Daytona. t year they came second in LMP2, and for this year, they are aiming to go one better.

On the heels of a highly successful first season in sports cars, Rui Andrade continues to rewrite history as he becomes the first ever Angolan to race in America, and he’s doing it in style, making his debut at one of the greatest races in the world.

However, it will only be the first of many for Rui, as the Angolan will stay with the team for the remainder of the 2022 Michelin Endurance Cup season, sharing the #8 Oreca with Deletraz and Farano at the Twelve Hours of Sebring, Six Hours of Watkins Glen and the iconic Petit Le Mans.

“I am really excited to race in the USA and there is no better way to get my first taste than racing in the Rolex 24.” – Andrade said. I am proud to fly the Angolan flag on yet another continent and with such a great team and extremely strong line-up, we have all what it takes to finish on the top step. It’s going to be a steep learning curve quite literally as I’ve never raced on an oval before, but I love a good challenge.”

Habsburg on the other hand is no stranger to the ‘World Center of Racing’ having made his LMP2 debut in 2018 at Daytona with Jackie Chan DC Racing by JOTA Sport, finishing in fifth place overall. However, his return to the famous oval last year was cut short due to a technical failure, leaving the 24-year-old with some unfinished business.

“Racing in America is something else.” – Habsburg said. “I have raced all around the world, but nothing comes close to the atmosphere in Daytona on race day. It just drags you in and makes you want to go back again and again. I am really looking forward to sharing a car with my fellow Bullet Rui, REMUS Ambassador Louis and Towers Motorsport team boss John Farano. My goal is quite clear: I missed out on the watch in Le Mans so I will give my all to grab one in Daytona.”

The 2022 Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona commences on January 21-23 with the Roar Before the Rolex 24 that decides the starting grid for the main race. (January 29-30).
