MEET RUI
My name is Rui Andrade. I was born and raised in Luanda, Angola.

I've been watching Formula 1 as a kid that led me to a karting track when I was 12, and the hobby soon became a passion. After 6 years of racing karts I made my single-seater debut in 2018 in the highly-competitive Spanish Formula 4 championship. From there, I  progressed to Euroformula Open and scored points in my debut season. I started 2020 in New Zealand, competing in the Toyota Racing Series to prepare myself for the season ahead in the Euroformula Open Championship.

This led to 2021, the most exciting season of my career so far. I moved to sports car racing. I started the season in the Asian Le Mans Series, making my LMP2 debut with G-Drive Racing by APR, scoring my maiden podium and finishing third in the overall standings.

Back in Europe, I entered the European Le Mans Championship with G-Drive, sharing the car with John Falb. We scored six podiums. out of six races, including two victories, becoming European Champions.

In the 2022 season, I ran a double campaign in the two most competitive sports car championships in the world. I raced in the FIA World Endurance Championship with REALTEAM by WRT and in the IMSA Michelin Endurance cup with Tower Motorsport.

I started the year finishing on the podium at the iconic Rolex 24H at Daytona, scored a podium in Watkins Glen and claimed a win at the Petit Le Mans to become IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup Champion.

My World Endurance Championship season got off to a great start with a podium finish at Sebring, followed by another podium at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps but the absolute highlight of the season came in Monza, where I scored my maiden FIA WEC victory.

In 2023, I will stay with Team WRT for an FIA World Endurance Championship title assault.
